  Activity 1: Fill in the gaps in the sentences with the words below. All words are adjectives or part of adjective phrases.

  Activity 2: Look at the first sentence. Using the sentence starter, recreate the second sentence so that it has a similar meaning to the first. Flip the card to see a possible answer. Use the < and > icons to move through the cards.

  Activity 3: Look at the 8 sentences from the report given by the team leader and answer the questions about the meanings of British jargon used by choosing the correct option (a, b, or c). Check your answer after each one, and use the < and > icons to move through the sentences.

  Activity 4: Read the paragraphs below. Each is missing its topic sentence. Match each paragraph to the correct topic sentence.
